Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your cake pan with butter or use cooking spray for easy release.
  2. Combine cake flour, sugar, softened butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed. Beat until you achieve a smooth batter—about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  5. Prepare the butterscotch pudding according to package instructions.
