Description

Delicious homemade Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tart Bars that are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for filling)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  3. Add milk and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out half of the dough and cut into rectangles.
  5. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Spread the filling on half of the rectangles.
  7. Top with the remaining rectangles and seal the edges.
  8. Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Let cool and prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar and milk.
  10. Drizzle icing over the cooled bars and serve.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Feel free to add sprinkles on top of the icing for extra fun!
  • These bars can be frozen for later enjoyment.
