Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it’s ready for baking.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully combined, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown, leaving the centers slightly underbaked.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking. Refrigerate the dough for up to 72 hours for deeper flavor.
