Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a saucepan, boil the apple cider over medium heat until reduced to about 1 cup, then let it cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix the eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and cooled apple cider.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Fill the doughnut pan with the batter and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Let the doughnuts cool before removing them from the pan.
  8. Optionally, coat the doughnuts in cinnamon sugar before serving.
