- 6 cups of sliced apples (about 6 medium apples)
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix well and spread evenly in a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the remaining brown sugar, oats, flour, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream!
Notes
- For a variation, add nuts or dried fruits to the topping.
- Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for a more complex flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
